SSH into DigitalOcean

ssh root@YOUR_SERVER_IP

Check whether you're using Nginx:

nginx -v

or Apache:

apache2 -v

If you're using Nginx

Install Certbot:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install certbot python3-certbot-nginx -y

Then:

sudo certbot --nginx -d yourdomain.com -d www.yourdomain.com

if ask yes/no

y

If you have multiple domains on the same server

That's completely fine. The fact that the same IP is used by 100 people/domains doesn't matter.

For example:

domain1.com → same IP
domain2.com → same IP
domain3.com → same IP
...

You issue an SSL certificate for each domain:

sudo certbot --nginx -d domain1.com -d www.domain1.com
sudo certbot --nginx -d domain2.com -d www.domain2.com
sudo certbot --nginx -d domain3.com -d www.domain3.com
